A Look At Salvation Part 5

"Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world."
(John 17:24)

This last blog on the phases of salvation we will talk about the final phase, our glorification in heaven. God has elected us, Christ has justified us, and the Spirit has regenerated us. We still live in a body that is sinful and God cannot accept this body in heaven and therefore we need to be glorified.
So this phase of our salvation concerns the resurrection. The time when Jesus returns and calls our sleeping bodies from the grave, changes us and reunites those bodies with our spirit and makes us fit for eternity. And He presents us holy and undefiled before the throne of God. Where we will dwell with Christ forever.
(2 Corinthians 4:14) "knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into His presence." That was the Apostle Paul's hope, that he would one day be counted worthy to be with the Lord in glory. And that is our hope as well as believers in Christ.
According to (Romans 8:23) our bodies must be redeemed "And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies." See Paul was still waiting for a certain aspect of adoption, he was waiting for the fifth phase of salvation the "final phase". It is called the final phase because it is the last aspect of salvation that must be preformed. That is the redemption of our body, when our bodies will be redeemed from corruption and redeemed from sin and glorified in God's presence. We can follow this process to glorification in (Romans 8:30)  "And those whom He predestined (Eternal phase) He also called (Vital phase), and those whom He called He also justified (Legal Phase), and those whom He justified He also glorified (Final phase) ."
In (1 Thessalonians 5:23) " Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."  God has yet the final phase of salvation to preform in which He redeems our bodies from sin and glorifies it, then we will be fully fit to be in God's presence in body, soul, and spirit for eternity!
Every child of God will end up in heaven, everyone predetermined to be there, will be there.
Praise God we have a successful Savior (John 6:37-39) "All that the Father gives me WILL come to me, and whoever comes to me I will NEVER cast out.  For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.  And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should LOSE NOTHING of all that he has given me, but RAISE it up on the LAST DAY."
(Philippians 1:6) "I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is fully assured that God who starts a good work in us will be faithful to complete that work when the great Day of the Lord comes at the return of Christ.
I don't know about you but I am looking forward to that time when the Lord comes back and raises us from the sleeping dust and changes this body to live with Christ in eternity with our redeemed bodies.
"As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness;    when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness." (Psalm 17:15)
